Whether you volunteered in our kitchen, made a financial donation, gave toiletries, or simply took the time to tell someone about our work – you changed lives this year.
We served over 195 patients.
24-hour medical care. Our medical team evaluated and treated patients, performed tests, changed dressings, managed medications, and provided pre- and post-operative care.
Empowerment for independence. Our case managers assisted patients in obtaining benefits, legal documents, and referrals to mental health services, transitional living programs, and vocational training programs.
We offered over 330 classes and activities.
Health promotion classes. Weekly classes provided instruction for managing common medical conditions, improving diet and nutrition, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Substance abuse recovery program. Our New Day Addictions Recovery Program gave patients the tools, support, and community to address harmful behaviors.
Educational and enriching activities. Games, art classes, trips to museums and sporting events, and many more activities provided opportunities for fun, relaxation, and gaining fresh perspectives.
We provided over 50,000 meals.
Nutritious, home-cooked meals. Every patient gets three meals a day during their stay. Our kitchen prepares special meals for those who can’t eat what’s on the menu.
We created a healing community.
It’s harder to quantify, but it’s what patients say makes the biggest difference: the love, friendship, and support of fellow patients, Kairos Program members, volunteers, donors, and staff.
Thank you for being a part of this community of change in 2017. There’s still time to make a year-end donation:
