“The Opportune Time” is a short documentary, filmed and produced by members of the Kairos Program, a unique addictions recovery community at Christ House for formerly homeless men. The film highlights the strength of community living and the joy found in reuniting with loved ones after many years of homelessness, substance abuse, and incarceration. As one member puts it, “It’s a story of pain and addiction, but of recovery and redemption.” The film was made possible by a grant through the Community Heritage Project of the Humanities Council of Washington, DC.
