Exciting Opportunities:
In our 40th year of operation, Christ House has embarked on an exciting journey of transition to a new structure and is working to increase the board’s engagement and participation. We are seeking new members to join our Board of Directors and support healing and hope for unhoused persons in Washington, DC.
We are seeking passionate and dedicated individuals in the Washington, DC metro region to join our Board of Directors. As a board member, you will provide governance and oversight, partnering with our Executive Director and staff to ensure mission impact and fiscal well-being.
Board Member Commitments:
- Attend Meetings: Participate in at least 75% of regularly scheduled quarterly board meetings. (*Note: While attending Board meetings remotely is an option, we prefer in-person attendance. There may be times when in-person attendance is requested.)
- Committee Work: Serve on at least one committee.
- Fundraising: Engage in fundraising activities and serve as an ambassador for Christ House.
- Financial Contribution: Make a financial contribution to Christ House that is meaningful and significant to you.
We are looking for candidates with expertise in:
- Healthcare Management
- Nonprofit Governance
- Fundraising and Development
- Financial Oversight
- Community Outreach
- Legal Expertise
