Dear Friends,
As we reflect on 2021, we are filled with gratitude for the many ways we have come together to support the important needs of our communities. Here at Christ House, our priority has always been to provide a safe and dignifying space for our patients to rest and recuperate.
Your partnership in our mission, particularly during these challenging last two years, has provided the opportunity for healing and hope for hundreds of individuals experiencing homelessness with acute medical needs in Washington, DC. Each day we have the honor of being in community with people who teach us, help us to grow, and inspire us to continuously improve our efforts. In 2021, our work to provide comprehensive and compassionate care impacted nearly 200 individuals and at the start of 2022, we reached over 9,500 patient admissions since we first opened in 1985.
The necessity for our medical and holistic services remains in our community and we continue to adapt as the needs of the city and of people experiencing homelessness shift over time. As we look toward the days ahead, we will continue to stand alongside our patients in the journey toward healing–physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
We are grateful to you, our community, for sharing our vision of a world where everyone is provided with the dignifying care needed to heal.
Thank you for continuing to join us on this journey.
Sincerely,
Mary Jordan, CRNP
Executive Director
