Giving Tuesday is an international movement to extend the spirit of giving thanks into the Advent season. As a UMC Advance project, Christ House encourages you to make an online donation on December 1st to give Christ House access to up to $25,000 in matching funds.*
What is The Advance?
The Advance is an official program of The United Methodist Church for voluntary, designated, second-mile giving. Through The Advance, United Methodist annual conferences, districts, local churches, and organizations, as well as individuals and families, may choose to support mission programs or mission personnel with their financial gifts. Anyone can give through The Advance.
Why should I give through The Advance?
1. 100% of your gift goes directly to your chosen ministry.
2. Each Advance project has been vetted and approved by Global Ministries and Advance staff.
3. All gifts given on December 1st will have the chance of being matched up to $2,500 per individual gift.*
Mark your calendars to give to Christ House through The Advance
on Giving Tuesday, December 1st!
*UMC Global Ministries will allocate matching funds dollar for dollar up to the first $1 million in gifts to Advance projects received online on Dec. 1, 2015, between 12:00 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. CT. A maximum of $2,500 per individual gift to a project will be dispersed as matching funds. A project may receive a maximum of $25,000 in matching funds. (Read more)
