#GivingThanksTuesday

November 6, 2016

givingthankstuesday-blog-logo

On the heels of Black Friday and Cyber Monday comes #GivingTuesday. This global day of giving redirects our attention to what truly matters – loving one another.

This year, we’re turning #GivingTuesday into #GivingThanksTuesday to give us an opportunity to thank you for how your donations have made a difference in 2016 and will propel our mission into 2017.

All of our donors – some who have given since 1985 and some who donated for the first time last month – power the healing and hope-giving work of Christ House. You are a central part of our community, and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

In honor of #GivingThanksTuesday on November 29th, our staff want to share their personal thanks and a story of how your support has enabled them to do or to witness powerful, positive transformation at Christ House.

Rick Thomas, Case Manager, tells a story of how we were able to help find a vulnerable patient a permanent home.

Gerald, a Kairos Program member, shares his story of healing and transformation at Christ House.

Francisco, a Nursing Assistant, tells of a patient he’s watched grow stronger during his time at Christ House.

Shawntay, a Christ House Nursing Assistant, explains that showing kindness and respect to patients is central to our mission.

Carlton, a member of the Kairos Program, shares how Christ House changed the trajectory of his health and his life.

Petrina Williams, Addictions Counselor, shares a hope-filled story that you made possible.

This was such a lovely way to say thank you. It is so nice to know that donations really are
helpful to the mission of Christ House. It is a pleasure for me to be a part of the Christ House
community in any way that I can be. Thank you.
