Last summer, the 20-year-old chiller at Kairos House became unrepairable. The chiller is a crucial component of the air conditioning system. It is important that we provide an environment with regulated temperatures and well-circulated air for the men who live at Kairos House. Half of the men are over 60 years old and many of them have respiratory conditions.

The good news is that we were able to install a new unit earlier this year that is much more energy efficient and works beautifully! However, this brought about an unanticipated deficit of over $100,000 to the budget.
