Patient Spotlight: James

October 8, 2015

0018

James

How would your friends describe you?
They would say that I’m supportive.

What is your favorite food?
Steak. Steak, rice, and corn. I saw it on a menu once and just fell in love with it.

What’s one of your favorite things about DC?
I loved the Redskins and the Nationals stadiums when I went to visit them this past month. They’re both big and loud and they just stand out to me.

What is your goal in 2015?
To become healthy.

Who would you most like to have dinner with?
My cousin, Show. He died when he was 12 and I was 8. We were close: he used to pick me up and wrestle with me and he taught me how to play basketball. Having dinner with him would be something special and different.

What is the best compliment that you’ve ever received?
I was told I have nice hands. It’s something you wouldn’t think people pay attention to – but I appreciate that people recognize that they are well-groomed!

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?
Brazil. I’ve been thinking about it for years. Rio would be awesome. I don’t think that Brazil gets mentioned as much as other Spanish speaking countries so that makes me want to learn about it- the culture, the people the food…especially the food. I wonder if they have Brazilian steak. I would go just for that!
