Through the first half of 2015, we provided a record amount of care to our patients. We are on track to provide 11,000 patient days of care for the first time in our history. Our average daily occupancy is over 30 patients per day and as we write this report, every one of our 34 beds are full at Christ House.
Though our admissions have not been significantly different from other years, and in some cases even low, we are seeing an increase in the length of stay to over 45 days per admission. The increased length of stay can be attributed to more complicated medical cases such as cancer treatment or challenges in addressing a patient’s mental health needs.
It cannot go without saying that all of this care would not be
possible without the support of our donors and volunteers!
