Today and always, we remember Dr. Goetcheus for her bold advocacy, radical empathy, and her heart for the the hurting, the lonely, and the socially outcast. We are honored to announce that our medical center will soon bear her name: the Dr. Janelle Goetcheus Medical Respite Center. The continuation of Dr. Goetcheus’ compassionate care is made possible by steadfast supporters of our mission. Thank you for remembering your neighbors who are the most vulnerable.
Something I learned from Janelle… she never turned away from the need. Even in her later years, she was out there in order to have that need in front of her, always. I’m talking about individual patients, not just the need in general- it wasn’t just providing medical care for a vulnerable population, it was about providing medical care for each individual that was in front of her- there is a difference.
