As we begin to look back at 2024 and as we approach the ever-busy holiday season, we take a moment to pause in gratitude. Gratitude for our patients and Kairos Members, who receive healing and another chance at life while they’re at Christ House. Gratitude for our dedicated staff and volunteers, who make sure our community is well-taken care of, day-in and day-out. Gratitude for our donors, whose support is vital to our operation, and who ensure Christ House’s existence for years to come.
This year, we asked our patients what they are grateful for. Here are excerpts of their answers:
“For getting good health”
“For life”
“For everyone and my life”
“For Christ House helping the recovery of my legs, so I can start walking better with a cane”
“For the staff and for sobriety”
“For the closest church service since my previous church was far and I had to take the bus to get there”
“For good people here”
Time and time again, we are reminded of the strength, resilience, and faithfulness that fills the halls at Christ House. As we continue our mission of healing and hope, we are thankful for the moments of growth, the relationships we build with one another, and the compassionate care that surrounds our community. From all of us at Christ House, we wish you a restful and fulfilling Thanksgiving.
