I am a native Washingtonian.
What attracted you to Christ House?
I began delivering food from All Saints Church and realized I would like to be more a part of Christ House than a food deliverer.
What do you enjoy in volunteering at Christ House?
I love the camaraderie of the kitchen staff and my interaction with the patients. I have also learned some helpful cooking hints!
What is something you have learned while volunteering at Christ House?
The experience of working with the staff and other volunteers who really care about helping the patients is beyond measure. The loving and caring atmosphere is very special.
What is your favorite food?
Breakfast: yogurt and fruit
Lunch: soups and salads
Dinner: pasta
What do you like to do for fun?
Travel, hike, read books, got to the gym, bike
What do you enjoy doing in Washington?
Sightseeing, visiting galleries, trying out ethnic restaurants
What is one thing in the world you would change if you could?
I would choose to erase the inequalities that exist in our population.
