
We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Lisa Purdy as the new CEO of Christ House. Dr. Purdy brings more than a decade of leadership experience in nonprofit and public service organizations focused on health equity, child welfare, and workforce development. A skilled strategist and compassionate relationship-builder, she has led initiatives that strengthen systems of care and promote sustainable impact for vulnerable communities.
Most recently, Dr. Purdy served as an executive leader at Maryhurst, where she partnered with the City of Louisville to design and launch the Community Mental Health Project—a cross-sector effort expanding access to trauma-informed services for youth and families. Nationally, she also contributed to the Quality Improvement Center for Workforce Development as a research partner, helping shape evidence-based strategies to support those on the front lines of care.
Dr. Purdy holds a PhD in Social Work, with research focused on workforce development and trauma-informed organizational cultures. She has authored several publications and presented at conferences across the country on leadership, human services, and systems change. In recognition of her leadership and impact, she was named to Louisville Business First’s Forty Under Forty in 2022.
Outside of her professional work, Dr. Purdy enjoys life with her wife, Claire, and their dog, Susie. Her family is a constant source of inspiration in her commitment to building a more compassionate and just society.
