Dear Friends,
It is my privilege to share our 2019 Christ House Annual Report with you. This report highlights the ongoing need for our services in providing care for sick homeless persons in the nation’s capital. It is my hope that through these pages, you are able to get a glimpse of the daily work of healing and hope that you make possible at Christ House.
I also want to express deep gratitude for your prayers and support during the present COVID-19 emergency. Through Christ House’s mission-oriented work, our respite unit continues to provide comprehensive and compassionate medical care, serving vulnerable homeless individuals who are disproportionately affected by this pandemic. Our dedicated staff remains committed to ensuring that our essential services continue uninterrupted around the clock. During this difficult time, we seek to maintain a posture of hospitality while reducing the risk of spreading the virus to other vulnerable patients. With strict adherence to protocols, we have had success in preventing any outbreak.
We could not do this work without you and the many individuals and organizations who give their time and resources to our mission. You are an integral part of Christ House’s steady presence in Washington, DC. Thank you for believing in our vision.
We pray for your continued health and well-being and look forward to continued partnership alongside you.
Sincerely,
Mary Jordan
Executive Director
