A Statement on Racial Equality

At Christ House we mourn the killings of Black Americans including George Floyd and Breonna Taylor rooted in a brutal history of racism in the United States. This ugly legacy is a pandemic coursing through all parts of American life. It is the reason why stark racial inequities continue to exist in everything from housing, healthcare, and the toll of COVID-19, to opportunity, education, and criminal justice. We commit to the ongoing struggle to fight racial disparities and to end structural racism. Today we say their names but we also renew our desire to be instruments of racial reconciliation in our daily work.
