Fall Matching Challenge 2018: Hear from a Partner

October 5, 2018

UPDATE: You did it! Our awesome donors met our goal and donated $200,000, every dollar of which will be matched! A huge THANK YOU goes out to everyone who gave during this year’s Fall Matching Challlenge and to our exceptionally generous partners!

There is only one month left in our Fall Matching Challenge! Remember that until October 31st, all donations up to $200,000 will be matched dollar-for-dollar by a group of generous Christ House partners.

But who exactly are these Christ House partners?

They are people like Barbara, who strongly believe in the power of Christ House to change lives for the better. When asked why she gives so generously to Christ House, this is what she said:

“I’ve loved Christ House for many years. I have seen what [Christ House] does for the people they work with. I think it’s money well spent. They’re very efficient.  What I give goes a long way.

I have known so many people who have been patients here and claimed that [Christ House] has saved their lives or helped them put their lives together again.

And that, of course, has further effects. They are reunited with families. They can take on responsibility for grandchildren.  They do things in the neighborhood. They return to being productive members of society.

One of the things that I admire most is the way [Christ House] values everyone who has come as a patient, even the ones that are the most difficult, or the ones that don’t stay around. They’re still remembered.”

We are incredibly grateful for Barbara and the rest of our partners for making this year’s Fall Matching Challenge possible.

After one month, we have received an amazing $92,581! We are almost halfway to our goal of $200,000. Donate now and help us get all the way there.
