Make your next birthday a meaningful celebration that you’ll remember all year long.
Share the spotlight with those experiencing homelessness in Washington, D.C. by “donating” your birthday to Christ House. It’s simple:
- Ask your loved ones to make a donation Christ House in your honor. Tell them why the mission of Christ House is important to you.
- Direct them to www.christhouse.org/donate and tell them to type your name under the “Whom do you want to recognize?” prompt.
Many of our donors and volunteers have used their birthdays, anniversaries, and other milestones as an occasion to support the work of Christ House.
Most recently, Gerald, a former patient, member of the Kairos Program, and Christ House Nursing Assistant donated his birthday. He said:
“Being a part of the medical staff, I see patients coming in that are sick and street-worn. I felt that Christ House would know how to use the money well. I knew that even a little bit could go a long way.”
Gerald posted a message on Facebook requesting donations to Christ House instead of cards and gifts for himself. His goal was $300. His friends and family gave $3,340!
“I was blown away by people’s giving. I was so surprised and thankful. It really made my day,” Gerald said.
